Starting this a little late, but would like to share the evolution of my build with others who may be interested in some of the same ideas, but lacking certain info. A shout out to @Hulley for many of his ideas such as painting the sump and adding the Clarisea roller along with a few other items. I also grabbed a few plumbing ideas from a Randy who's build thread I'm having difficulty finding right now, but will update to give props once I do. Last but not least, a huge thank you to @Kvinal who helped me with the install and move. Easily one of the most selfless people I have ever met and could not have built this without him. Thank you!
Little background, started this hobby roughly 3 years ago on a 36g bow front tank with a canister filter and in tank Tunze skimmer. Took a strong liking to the hobby quickly and soon after out grew that tank. I traded in the majority of my live stock towards a v3 Reefer 350 and lost a large number of the remaining corals due to stress during the migration. I started the new build with dry rock and dry Tropic Eden sand. A 3 to 1 mix of mesoflakes to miniflakes, and the rock I mixed tonga with some other shelf rock I found at my LFS, glues it all together with Marco Cement (Amazing!). Equipment and livestock list to follow, hope everyone enjoys the build, feel free to chime in with questions, comments, or suggestions for improvement. Take will be SPS dominant once stocked. Thanks for stopping by
