Vibrant wiped out my chaeto in a week.
I’m Hoping since I’m growing GHA in the reactor that it doesn’t kill it off. Might put a hurt in’ on it!

Hello everyone! I have virtually little to no time right now due to our busy holiday shipping season.

But here is a few things. Testing:
Alk 8, NO3 18, PO4 .19
Salinity 1.026, 77 degrees.

so I get up this morning for work and ATO is not working, so I switched it off and dumped a gallon of premade saltwater in the sump.

then i hear an odd sound and see that my uv light is not on and the noise goes away when I turn of the uv pump. The sound was coming from the bulb housing, but there were no leaks. So I switched all that off too.

I’ll check it out when I get home tonight.

Well, I have some time on my hands.

most testing I have done in a loooong time.
78 degrees, salinity 1.026.
Alk 8.2
Calcium 445
Magnesium 1500+
NO3 - 6
PO4 - .14, down from .19
PH 7.8
Phosphates were climbing due to feeding so many pellets I’m sure as that’s the only thing the foxface would eat. As bad as it sounds, I sold the foxface to a local with 2, 220 gallon tanks. I feel he was getting to big for my tank to and spent most of his time in a cave. In his new home he is out and cruising with several tangs, so I’m happy for him! Been keeping a bag of rowaphos in the sump to gradually pull phosphates back down to under .1

Assembling the Red Sea screen kit today. Super easy so far. All that’s left is to cut for my auto feeder. Then assembly!

How are you liking the Red Sea screen top? I’m planning a 525 build myself right now.

Hello! I will say for the money, I’m very pleased with it. Assembly of the framework was easy. It took me and a friend to install the screen. The key to that was to not pull the screen super tight or else you would tear it when installing the spline. It’s nice and rigid, not flimsy at all. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again. I hope that helps, and if you have any questions please let me know!

When the enemy comes against you, that’s when you must be your strongest. When you must believe all of Gods promises. And KNOW he is your Father and he will not let you down and will not give you more than you can bear. And praise Him more than ever. You need to sing a little louder and raise a hallelujah!

Your tank is beautiful. The centerpiece leather is drool worthy. Lots of gorgeous colorful fish!
Thank you very much! I could never have got this far without a lot of help from people like you here in R2R :)

I think the cycle of student becomes teacher switches back and forth here.
I think you are spot on with that! We are constantly teaching those wanting to learn, and learning from those willing to teach. Dang I love this hobby!

You should update your signature with that. It is awesome.
