Mine has always read .001 lower than 3 others in my area tested against known sample. ( I've had it for 6-7 years )

I just add .001 to my number and call it good, it never swings outside of .001 off.
I wrote with a sharpie on the unit add .001 to result.

You would write deduct .001 from number. This unit is as solid as a digital reading can get.

I just made Randy’s solution by following his exact recipe. The salinity checker is showing spot on 1.026. Seems like the CALIBRATION standard is .001 higher…at least for me. @Randy Holmes-Farley

The reference solution I got with my Milwaukee was off also. I made randys reference solution and it was perfect. When mine was off I asked on here and apparently it's not uncommon that the solution that comes with it is not correct. Do yourself a favor and just throw it out.

It’s in the garbage. :)
