mimic or yellow tang

I have had a few yellow tangs in the past and mimic tangs. A couple had for a long time until i added something else which caused me to lose the tang. But most the time i have trouble keeping a yellow tang and people say they are bullet proof. What are some things you do to help add or keep them. I dont have a quarentine tank

Good water and lots of Sea Veggies. I would most certainly set up a QT for adding any Tang to your system. At the bare minimum would suggest doing FW dip regimen then keep well fed with Macro Algae and or Nori (Red and Brown over Green)
