My mimic tang has nips taken out of its tail. I suspect it’s my Midas blenny, does anyone have experience with them doing this? Only other fish are two clowns, fiji puffer, and leopard wrasse.

Any thoughts?

Most likely the midas, but possibly the puffer. What size tank? In an appropriately size tank the tang should learn to avoid either.

Midas blennies are notorious for nipping fins. They usually nip fins of planktivores, but I wouldnt put it past one to nibble on a tang.

I dont have experience with any puffers but I have heard they can nip.
