When I got him he was all pure yellow and now his gills are turning a dark color. Should I be worried. Also how is event possible to take pictures of this fish he’s constantly swimming

He is constantly picking at rocks for algae. Eats good happily swims around just has color changes? I know they change color when they are grown but he’s still pretty small. Maybe 3.5”

that means he’s transitioning to his adult coloration. As it grows up it will turn into a chocolate tang.

Pics do not do the choc tang justice, this is a much more interesting, outgoing, and beautiful fish compared to a yellow tang. Here's the one I had in change before I gave him to a friend, he was a tank way too aggressive.
