Hey,
so I finally added my Fijian Mimic tang to my display tank from quarantine. I used an acclimation box for 2 days and then released him. I notice my kole tang aggressively swim past the acclimation box a Few times during the 2 day period but I didn’t think it would be an issue.
so last night I released him to the tank and my Kole tang immediately started tail whipping and chasing the mimic.I still was t concerned since Iread that this pair would do that for a day or so. today when I woke up I came down and noticed 2 decent gashes on the side of the mimic. I’ve attached a picture. Due to this aggressiveness I added a mirror to the front of the tank which has kept the Kole tang occupied. My questions are; how bad of an injury does this look like and treatment and 2. How long do I leave the mirror there. The kole tang is really aggressive towards his reflection. I was under the impression these two particular tangs in a 120 gallon system would be fine. Is this just the normal for introducing tangs?
Thanks
