Recieved an order of 9 mini max from Aqua SD yesterday. put in qt and one is melting. should I discard it to protect the others? Any advise is appreciated.

That's weird because they are indestructible ime. Since you just got them and they are acclimating I would wait and watch.
That's a hard call because it doesn't look that bad.

You might want to post your water tests and a little more about that system....how is it cleaned and filtered? ...anything else noteworthy too.

it is a 20 long qt with hob and power compact lighting used for incoming inverts for short duration of time. soft coral, snails, flower anemones. i disposed of the mini this morning, it was far to gone. the other 8 are doing fine.

Ok. That's too bad.
I have two maxi mini currently. They seen some abuse but they always spring right back.
Is that an ATI T5 fixture?
