I've had a tiny mini maxi for 6 weeks with no issues. Very bright green, never moved so seemed happy, then it disappeared. I can't find him anywhere. With how bright he is, I assumed he would be easy to find with the actinic lighting on full blast but still no sign of him. He was only about 1.5 inches. I've got so much live rock all cemented together so I can't take my tank apart to find him. How bad would it be if he has died? I know they can cause huge issues with the tank but I wasn't sure if his size and type would would create too much trouble. We have 150g, running carbon reactors and skimmer. Our water perameters are all good. Our tank is a year old and has been stable. Should I worry? He's been missing for a week.

Ive had blood red mini carpets do that in a perfectly stable tank. It might be hiding to split or reclused to die. I wouldnt worry about it affecting water quality in that big of a tank. Youll be fine if running carbon

There was a bristle worm stealing food from it on many occasions, I assumed it moved due to that, I wasn't sure if they could kill a small anemone? Would such a small anemone split?

Mine does the same thing. I change 1 thing, he moves spots. He hid for a week last time. Actually came back out yesterday, seen him climbing back out of the oyster shell he hid in. These things move at a pretty good clip too.

Thanks. I hope he's just hiding then. He's my favourite as he's so bright. Fingers crossed he pops up at some point, wouldn't complain if there were two

Yea mine were about the size of a quarter and 50 cent piece fully grown. They split a few times before they all disappeared for good.
As long as it doesn't die and crash my tank, we've got thousands invested already, I've heard some horror stories of anemones crashing large tanks. I've been panicking!
