Miniatus Grouper Question

What is the smallest fish size that a around full grown 1 foot or so miniatus grouper won't bother eating? I'm planning for my 250 tank and was curious cause my lfs has a beautiful 7 to 8in one

Guess he's gonna stay at the lfs till someone else likes him lol. He won't work with the rest of my stock since it consists mostly of wrasses and a few tangs

Wrasses would be in trouble, unless they're the biggest Halichoeres, bird, or Thalassoma.

Eels, tangs, lions, full-size angels, triggers, etc would be better
