Have you stuck with the siporax in the reactor? I did something similar with Seachem Matrix, and had a custom made GeosReef reactor made to hold 5 liters of the media, but could never keep enough detritus out. Ended up being a detritus reactor. Took it offline because it was really driving up my nitrates.

I have a question about what size of PVC you used for the manifold? The size Red Sea uses is different than here in the US.

I had to shut down the tank because we had to renovate the house! The current system was setup in Jan 13.

Hi I have the exact same Red Sea 170 and was thinking of putting a calcium reactor in. What size tank is that? I’m also thinking of getting the octopus 100.

Any input would be appreciated. Also with CR did you notice a drop in ZPH? Thanks.
