Hi friends

So something weird happened. My fire red shrimp went missing today. I'm 100% Sure he is not hiding or something. When a shrimp die, will it cause ammonia spike? Or should I be concerned? Mine is a 15g small tank..

Yes, a dead shrimp will cause a spike - that's why cocktail shrimp are sometimes used to start a cycle on a new tank.

15g is a pretty small volume, so I'd expect to see at least some spike if a large fire shrimp were decomposing in the tank. Probably worth looking for its remains. At the very least, if you're sure it's dead, water changes and testing are in order.
