I was able to pick up two current USA marine LED fixtures 36 inch and 1 ZooMeds 36 inch LED HO fixture for little to nothing. I am putting them over my 40 breeder my question is I know that these fixtures are not the most powerful , but with all three of them do you think I could have a next reef including SPS corals? I have a four inch deep sand bed. From top to bottom is about 14 inches.

I'm sorry to inform you that those lights are inadequate lighting for your light demanding corals. The 1 watt and 1/2 watt LED's just don't cut the mustard.

Also, have a problem with their false advertising. "50% brighter than T5 HO lamp". A 34 inch T5 bulb is 39 watts. The ZooMed fixture is only 16 watts. You would be better off with a 6500K CFL bulb than with that light.

The Orbit Marine light isn't as false in their advertising. They show a couple of corals that require low light and they say it's a marine light. I'm sure it will do fine for low light demanding corals, with 144 LEDs and 36 watt rating. But it will be inadequate for corals and clams requiring high light.

I went with the MR-120 full spectrum LED's . Im going to use the current USA marine LED fixtures for supplemental lighting. I really like the fading dawn to dusk .
