So many pedestrians so little time
I have a ywg ordered and was wondering if I could get a clown goby (yellow) as well. I have a 75gal tank with approx 80 lbs of rock.

They tend to live in different areas/levels in the tank so with that size you should be ok.

Pretty sure these gobies are only destructive while nesting/breeding, otherwise they will perch on acros without actually harming them. They host acro in the wild and only nip at the crotches of branches while breeding (as far as I understand it). This is of course more of an issue if you have a family of gobies or tiny acro frags that one stubborn goby tries to nest on.
A single mature clown goby will kill off a small area of acro in preparation for a mate. Even if that mate never comes.

This is mostly true but in setting up their perch in an acro, they can kill the frag if it isn't big enough to absorb the damage. I had one kill 2-3 frags of prime acro's setting up his perches;)

I had 3 Yellow Clown Gobies and a green one in a 90. No conflicts. I was told not to mix the green ones as they will fight. I never tried more than just the one. The yellows were like little lights popping up here and there. Loved them.

I've got a diamond goby and 2 citron gobies, and they get along great. I'm not sure if your gobies are similar though.
Ycg are haremic, so a group will be fine.
