I’m a new reefer (I’ve had a fishless pico tank with zoas only for 3 weeks lol) and I’m playing with the idea of starting a 20 gallon long focused on yellow clown gobies. I’ve got two questions for you more experienced reefers:

1) How many yellow clown gobies could I fit in a 20 gallon long? I’ve read that they like to be in groups of 5-15 in the wild so I’d like to have at least two. I know that they are like clownfish in that they will change sex to at least have one female and one male in a pair.

2) What other peaceful fish do you recommend? My goal is for the clown gobies to be the star and not introduce fish that will bully them or compete with them for perching space. I’ve seen Banggai cardinals, fire fish, lawnmower blenny, other gobies, and even saltwater-acclimated mollies recommended.

I have 3 in my 15 gallon, a yellow a green and and a black. They are all peaceful.
