I’ve got a bottle of almost used up Hannah Alk reagent, it’s getting to the point where I won’t be able to suck up a whole syringe.

Would there be any issue in adding the last of one bottle to a new one?

For me, I would not do, and would just use a new bottle of reagent.

Seems like oxygen deteriorates the alk reagent fairly quick after a bottle has been opened.

The longer a bottle is opened, the hanna alk reagent breaks down causing floating particles, thus giving off high alk readings.

So, If you keep adding from old bottles to new ones, it would makes matters worse as you went along.

You and others can do as you like, but it's a no in my opinion.

Still use the Hanna, but this issue is something that many would like Hanna to make an improvement on.

Thanks for the info! It’s a small amount so not a big loss.
