Mixing saltwater

I'm ready to build my saltwater mixing station. For starters I just want to mix in the barrel and pump it out with a maxi jet or some other pump like that. My end goal is to plumb both barrels together and have an external pump set up to mix the salt that way. My question is what size pump with I need for both situations or should I just save up for an iwaki pump at like 500gph?

I use a small pump in my lower can(upper is RO/DI water only) and connect a hose to it when im ready to pump to tank,same one that mixes its a internal pump

Ty, I do like this set up but unfortunately I don't have that much head room to copy your set up
