Mixing station help

I just purchased a used mixing station to upgrade the one I had. However; I realized that it used to sit on some sort of shelving at the previous owners house that was built into his garage. Does anyone know what I would need to build one? Each tank is 65 gallons. The setup is in the photo below. I put the plumbing on upside down for now. Could I use it the way it’s set up now to get RO water out of it?

Also, if anyone could explain how this would work with the pump. Basically, how do I move RO into the mixing tank and how does the salt mix once I add it?

Looks like a great set up; I believe I have the same pump. No reason it can't sit on the garage floor, as pictured. Do you currently have it set up exactly as in the photo-- and are you essentially just asking how to operate it? 🤓

Yes, it is set up just like the photo. Yes, any operating tips would be great.
 
You can build a simple stand out of some 2x4's and plywood if you want them to be lifted off the ground.
 
The main advantage to raising the setup onto an appropriate stand would be that you could rely on gravity (without using the pump) to get:
- saltwater from the far left valve/outlet
- RODI from the far right valve/outlet
*those are both currently upside-down, I assume

Beyond that, the layout seems pretty common so probably easiest to find a video explaining the intention of each valve to control flow,,, which let the pump transfer water from the RODI tank on the right to the saltwater mixing tank on the left, as well as mix saltwater in the left tank by pumping from bottom to top of that tank (depending on which valves are open/closed).

4x4 posts with 8" OC joists would hold them. We made something like that all the time to hold 125 gallon chlorination resivours at water treatment plants we had in parks is used to work in.
 
Hey neighbor.
I noticed that your water heater is strapped to the wall. Here in earthquake country it might be useful to secure those containers so they don’t fall over when the big one comes! We have been having a few shakes recently and I hope if you raise these tanks that you take the precaution of strapping them to the wall. Hopefully it won’t be necessary, but there is a reason why our water heaters are strapped, just to minimize insurance claims from water damage.

Yeah, they're currently upside-down. I think the stand would be the way to go.

Are the OC Joints the 2X4's that would run long ways 8" apart? Would they be at the top right under the plywood and I assume I would need 2x4's on each end at the top to attach them to?

That's a really good idea. I don't want to say were due for one, but the last major one was quite a while ago.
