Mixing wrasses

I currently own an ornate wrasse but I'm really interested in obtaining a mystery wrasse. I've been searching to see if I can mix the two together, but nothing came up. Does anyone know if I can keep both at the same time?

Are we talking Halichoeres or leopard wrasse? What size tank?

Ooops sorry, it's an ornate leopard wrasse in a 60g.

I honestly would think that combo might work and the leopard could hold his own but I would be ready to separate them if need be. Ive never tried that combo though, maybe someone else has that can chime in.

Mystery Wrasse's are sometimes known to be aggressive towards other wrasses, but you may be fine.. I would purchase a Mystery that is smaller then the Ornate...

I have a leopard wrasse, mystery wrasse, vanuata wrasse, yellow coris wrasse, red-headed wrasse, radiant wrasse and banana wrasse all in a 180. The leopard wrasse does have its own prejudices and can be extemely mean and territorial not allowing new additions the opportunity to eat or get acclimated in particular other leopards of any sort (like a potter's wrasse and it terrorized a lineatus and rhomboid--yes that was a very expensive mistake). The mystery wrasse can also be mean to not only other wrasses but other food competitors. My mystery does not like my diamond goby of all things. So I think a few things hold true,1. each fish is unique in its preferences and tolerances to other fish 2. mystery wrasses have a mean reputation so I think are a good fish to add last 3. Add any other wrasses you dream of; add now before the mystery wrasse comes in 4 Acclimation tanks within the display allow for just that acclimation for a day or two or three 5. watch the reaction in the tank to any new addition and be prepared to do whatever. Wrasses are active fish and fun to watch. They are full of color and pizazz
