I have the same reactor. Make sure you keep an eye on it. I’ve had mine overflow twice. The line always appears clear, but sometimes the water doesn’t come out. I don’t know if there is some kind of surface tension in it or some build up I just didn’t see. Eventually it fills and comes out the top. When I take the little fill cap off to figure out what’s wrong then it comes pouring out.
Hopefully that doesn't happen to me. My friend has the smaller version and he said it's worked fine for him. I've seen others add an elbow on the output to avoid getting surface stuff. Might want to try that to see if it helps your situation.

Added a Reef Brite Lumilite Pro 48" 50/50 LED strip to help with illuminating the front of the tank and help with shadows. My existing lights are not wide enough to light the 30" front to back dimensions of the tank. First shot is without reef brites on and second is with them on.

So far so good. I’m using the stock 65g sump. I like how spacious the sump is. You have many options for the middle chamber.
Hey again. I'm still lurking at the Mode 135G. :) The returns in the tank are pretty low. How high does your sump fill when your return pump is off?

I run my sump about half full or about 9". When my return shuts off, it fills to about 14" or about 4" below maximum sump height. This sump is huge. I believe it's a 65g.

Since no room for ato reservoir inside the stand. Bought a small cabinet from IKEA to hide my 13g ato reservoir.
If the sump was pushed as far to one side or the other, how big of an ato do you think might be able to fit under the tank?

i'm thinking about a custom built, rectangular tank of sorts...

Something around 8"x26" might fit. Give or take an inch.

Gonna try this 36w UV sterilizer to see if helps with my water clarity. Running bare bottom my tank has always had a slight cloudiness to it compared to when I had sand. Hoping it helps slow down the growth of algae on the glass as well.

I thought Vibrant was snake oil, but the more I saw about it... the more i realized it wasn't.

I would suggest trying that and running carbon. That will clear you up I'd feel certain. just follow the directions on the bottle. No telling what's really in it, but here is the back.

I tested salinity of this stuff and it measured 65ppt. Which is very high. Kind of weird for sure. It says there is a cultured bacteria blend in there in there, but it's that 3.5% of other ingredients that i wonder about. I would not be surprised if it wasn't some kind of algicide considering the salinity. I also tasted... it was of some weird salt like flavor. Somethin reminded me maybe of something like potassium chloride. It has no color or smell.

Anyway, I've not noticed any negative effects. It cleared the water and has really destroyed any nuisance algae in about 2 weeks.

Hahaha. You're much braver than me to actually taste it. I've had Vibrant in my cabinet for a while now too. BRS sold me with one of their videos on it. Good suggestion on trying it for water clarity.

I was getting rapid algae growth on my glass recently. To the point that it would look pretty bad after just two days and even just hours after cleaning I would see it on the glass. Dosed vibrant and as of this morning it’s still reasonably clear. First image is two days after cleaning glass. Second shot is hours after cleaning. Third shot is overnight after dosing vibrant and cleaning the glass night before.

Switched some pipes around to get the lower height on the emergency without having to cut anything. Removed the Dorso attachments to make a herbie setup as well. Luckily none of it was glued in advance. I’ve heard others say that the way Mode has it setup with the durso is louder.

Isn’t the emergency overflow supposed to be higher? In case there was a piping blockage , it would raise the level and drain out of the emergency

Yep. It works, but don't overdose. If anything under-dose. I believe you can take this stuff too far and we really don't know what's in it. I have another thread going on about it and the lack of knowledge we have about it, which is unfortunate.

Most people run emergency right at the water level to handle some fluctuations in water height. I ended up not switching the pipes around but did cut the pipe about 1/2” shorter.

How’s the tank doing? Any update on the Vibrant adventure?
Tank is doing good. Algae isn’t growing on the glass as fast. Reduced vibrant dosing to every other week. It might have been an algae bloom that I was going through before. Video below.

Looking good, Viet!
