Hi all

I bought an aquarium recently and only just thought about the overflow placement and realised i have a problem. As per the pictures there is an enormous brace in the centre of my tank. The tank is 4'x2'x2' and the glass is 10mm. Two part question can i convert to a euro brace? If I do go to euro brace will i need to extend the current brace or can i overlap them with glass going width of the tank?

With 10mm glass you only need to brace the longer panels really. And I'd say a middle brace isn't necessary. Only reason to do all four sides is to have a splash/jump guard all the way around.

I would just cut away the existing braces and get new ones that fit a little better. If you're only doing two braces (front and back), extend them all the way to the corners so they have support on three sides.

That is one sturdy built tank! Would love to see it all cleaned up and revised.
