So after long thought I decided to gift this design to the hobby.

It is a 3d printed modular frag scape system that I have worked on for at least a year. There were a lot of iterations before this but ultimately this is what I landed on.

You are now able to 3D print and fill your tank with an artificial scape. Of course it's not as natural as the real thing but it's no fake decorations either. Its functional.
It is strong and rigid. Has shown no signs of breaking down and I perform monthly Oceamo ICP-MS tests with no evidence of anything harmful leaching. If anything I have definitely proven PETG plastic is reef safe.

It is quite convenient in setting up a new tank in that you can move around your coral relatively easily for the first several months. Think of it as a hybrid frag tank/scape. After several months it will grow coralline algae like crazy and seize together. I never had any hair algae grow on it but I did have bubble algae that is now gone thanks to my foxface. I do feed my fish 3 times a day and do not have any major nutrient issues. Each cube (dodecahedrons really) is able to hold small rubble rock or biospheres if you are concerned with surface area.

You can download it for free here - 3DReefing Frag Scape System for Reef Tanks

They are tricky to assemble so I made an instructional video. It's not easy to wrap your mind around but once you have it figured out its not hard.

Here is some photos of when I first set it up and what the tank looks like now.

I am also setting up a cube tank to transfer all the torches into and mainly go sps dominant in the older tank. Its just about ready for coral.

If you get enough coral and growth, eventually you may not be able to see them much.

So that's about it. You can check out more videos and closer shots of what the coral look like encrusting on my IG @3dreefing.

I spent an incredible amount of time on this concept so I hope you guys enjoy!

Woah man this is insane! That’s for doing this!
Thanks! I figured it was best to let it free and maybe the community can make it into something much more. I plan to release the step file with the attachment profile soon so others can design their own accessories.
