Monster Nem!

So we picked up a rainbow bubble tip Anemone in Oct. small-3” little guy.

this was for our paired clownfish and they took to it with some convincing - really cool to see that in our tank

problem is after just a few short months this guy is a foot across and dominating our RSR 350. We have a third of our tank we are afraid to add corals to because we believe the Nem will sting and kill them.

We have intentionally not fed him but this does not seem to slow us growth. Is it maybe that we don’t feed and the nem is opening to get its nutrition from photosynthesis? Would feeding help or be a further mistake leading to even bigger monster.

starting to regret this addition. Advice?

Agree - I may have to pull it before I end up with a nem only system versus mixed reef I aim for. Maybe the clowns will take to some euphylia now that they’ve decided they like having a host
