Is this monti completely dead? I do still see polyps glowing in some areas when blue lights are on but no extention. Just wondering if there is any way to bring this back. Ps I installed these new lights a week ago because the monti started declining with old lights(very weak)

Don’t give up hope yet. If you can still see some colour under actinics it could bounce back. I had a very similar experience with porites, just leave it in the tank even if you think it is dead.

If you see glowing polyps then there's still hope. Judging by the pic you posted, it doesn't look good. That's a big jump in light so make sure you acclimate the corals.

Any idea where your Alk and Magnesium levels are at? Ive had issues when Alk spikes up towards 11 and Magnesium dropped to around 1250. Getting numbers back in line brought mine back from the brink.

Okay will test tomorrow. I noticed a huuge diatom bloom everywhere! More and more algae is growing on the monti. Can I remove it by scrubbing once a week? Even chaeto in display has brown on it. The rocks weren't this brown earlier this week. No where near this. Tank has been running for almost a year now

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that you added coral to a very new tank, I’m not judging as I did the same myself when I started. The best advice I have is leave the coral alone. You really do have to provide us with you current tank parameters for us to help you.

Yes,
Phosphate: 0 (phos, cal, alk, mag are tested with sailfert)
Nitrate: 5(tested with API)
I have chaeto in main display and I run chemi pure elite in the canister. Tank is 55 gallons

You should probably try to raise your phosphate a bit. No PO4 can be a very bad thing and can make corals suffer light bleaching and burnt tips. You could try dosing but you have to use incredibly small amounts or just start feeding your fish quite a bit more.

If it makes you feel any better I have bottomed out phosphate on a few occasions. Good news is corals can bounce back very quickly from it.

Okay, other than that my Params are good? Still confused on the whole crazy gha and diatoms outbreak. Thanks for the reply!
I will try to get my water tested by the lfs just to double check. Can I put some water in a ziplock bag and leave it overnight till I get it tested around 5pm tomorrow? Would that affect any results?

No they look acceptable, mag is a little high but quite a few of us run at that level. How are you planning on keeping your alk/cal/mag stable?

I don't do anything to be honest. I just do weekly water changes. I do not test everyday

@ZaneTer I tested my parameters today. I did a waterchange yesterday(5 gallons).
Calcium: 475
Phosphate: 0 (So much Green hair algae)
Magnesium: 1500++ (Could not even be detected, its way over 1500, at 1500 the color was purple! Supposed to be blue at the end)
Alkalinity: ~10.7

Red sea test kit? If so a couple drops beyond purple will usually hit the blue color.
