Would anyone know why my Monti is getting dark around the center?

That is normal for monti's. The newest tissue closest to the growth margin tends to be the brightest. Colour morphs, like the rainbow, use the difference in colouration between new and old tissue as the unique feature.

The green monticap below shows this well (ignore the colouration of the starburst pink one, it is just regaining health after a crash).

Wow, that is quite a change. Have your nutrient levels changed? I have noticed that dramatic shifts in coluration can sometimes be triggered by shifts in nutrient ranges. You can sort of see the darker blue tissue undertone in the older pics, but now the tissue definitely has a blue shade, where the polyps stayed red.

I find the latest coluration very cool. It reminds me of the purple with red polyps morph.

Only thing I’ve done was raise my Hydras from 80% to 90% over about two weeks and have since brought them down since I ticked off some other residents. Idk if they’re upset or if something else is going on…
