Hey got some live rock in today and i found this structure on one of the rocks. Where each polyp is there is a green dot, i cant tell if its fully dead and its algae or some sort of plant or if some of the polpys are still alive

Good, stable water parameters along with decent lighting may give it a fighting chance. I had a blasto that got decimated by a peppermint shrimp that came back from what I thought was sure death. (so it is possible)Is there anything i can do to see if i can keep it alive? Like placement or lighting? I know its likely to die but i just think it would be cool to revive it because it came on the rock

Yeah its like a week old! I just got in some live rock from Australia today and i threw it in the tank the rest of the rock is live rock from the lfsIt looks like the tank is very young. The monti is probably starved for nutrients and you may not have enough light to support it.

The way it is encrusting looks like coraline, but it is hard to tell with the lighting. Are these pink encrusted bits coralline algae or something else? The lighting is a little weird but in person its like bubblegum pink![]()
