Mounting tek light directly to glass

I had forgotten that I received the 6 bulb 48" tek light from another reefer when I started this hobby. It's missing 2 reflectors so I need to figure out where to buy them but it also came with metal feet attached to them. I was wondering if it was possible to sit them on the side glass of the tank or if it would cause issues due to the weight? I have the red sea reefer 350 so it's a rimless 1/4" low-iron glass on the sides. Hopefully someone else has experience with this, thanks
