Mouth wide open and strings coming out?

I’ve had my rainbow bta for a month now and i woke up to it have lost its bubbles and spitting up some brown string? It’s mouth is wide open too I’m wondering what’s wrong or what it could have been.

salinity-1.025
Nitrate- 3ppm
Nitrite- 0

it could be zooxanthellae expelled or poop are as well as what the person above me said it could be splitting or it’s just waste being expelled

I just posted more pictures maybe you could help me out! I’m very worried something went wrong.

Personally I cannot really see what is going on from the pictures but brown stringy stuff is usually just normal waste. Nems often look very deflated in the outer areas while concentrating on getting all the waste out from their stomach and foot region. Some people avoid feeding them because the nems does not always look very presentable while going through the waste expulsion mode. I would say you should try not to worry. Unless you start to see tissue coming apart, I suggest that you just write it up to the nem doing some purging.

it looks like normal waste but if it doesn’t look happy within a day or so or it starts losing pieces or disintegrating it could be that it has a bacterial infection and is dying or it’s just dying but by seeing as you’ve had this one for a long time i’d say it’s just pooping just keep any eye on it though
