As the title states, one MP40 keeps falling off. On top of that, the adhesive wire holder continues to fail causing the dryside to fall to the ground. I now have a piece of string holding it on.

(didn't realize I had the reflection of the blinds until I posted this...Sorry)

I've tried two different wetsides.....no effect. I have 3/8 glass and changed the dryside setting to half inch glass thinking the additional magnetic "pull" would help holding it on....no effect. AND, it's not like I've polished the glass and it's now more slippery....there are two other MP40's on this glass end and they are just fine.

Scratching my head on this one.

This just happened to @danieyella
she had a interesting solution...
Stuck my dry side on a much much stronger magnet for the day while I was at work.

Put it back together when I got home and it appears to be fine now. Not sure how long it's going to last but we're back in business for now.

@Reefering1 thanks for tagging @danieyella .....And danieyella, I need to ask, why do you have a "much stronger magnet" laying around? What actually did you use? The best I can do are small Neodymium button magnets.

I'm guessing the dryside dropping onto the floor screwed up the magnet.

Mine seemed to just demagnetize overnight then drop.

Used a magnet part holder thing I found in my husband's garage 😂 might not even be that much stronger.

His theory was that the motor emits it's own magnetic field overtime and may have misaligned something in the dry side that was causing it to not magnetize with the wet sides any longer (I also tried 2 different ones).

Put it on there at about 8am, got home from work around 7pm - suddenly both sides cooperated with each other again.

I had this problem and cleaning the rubber part on the dry side fixed it right up. I also don’t run any spacers on mine as I have 1/2” glass.

I did try cleaning the rubber part on mine without luck. No spacers here either. I had this thing running on the old tank for years with no issues. And it's been on this tank since September with no problems until now. I'm just glad it got sorted.

Yeah, thats awesome! I think mine got some kalk powder on it that wasn’t visible as I set it on my top off when I’m cleaning them lol..
