Hi Guys,

As the subject reads, MP40 or MP60 for 71" L x 23.6" H x 25.6" W tank? Goal is to have mixed reef tank with emphasis on SPS. Thanks.

every thinking about getting XF250 Gyre Pump with Controller (5300 GPH) - Maxspect then just add a second 250 pump only need one controller for both pumps just no wifi and more cheaper

I had 2 MP 40 on my 72'' wide and it word great. If looking to only do one pump then would do MP60. I use the Apex wireless module to control my 3 MP 40 to give lots of different wave patterns. I have one on the back. In process of building a 340 gallon system and plan on 4 MP40s on the back point toward the front with 4 return outlets .

My tank is the same size. I started with two MP60WQD. The flow was too linear. Then switched to two maxspect gyre Xf250s. They were awesome. But I had to clean them every two weeks as they slow way down when they get dirty. I ended up with four jebao SW15s and they are perfect. I get a great gyre type flow, no dead spots, and they were still the least expensive option.

Might be overkill with 2 MP60, your better off getting 3 MP40s so you get more flow.. These things really move 4000+ gallons per hour they are amazing!

Sounds like a reefer 750! I have one on pre-order as well. I'm either going with 2 mp60's on the sides with 2 mp40s on the back, or just 6 mp40s on the back for an incredibly clean look.

Yes it is! I cannot wait. I'm starting with 2 MP60s. I'll add in the future if necessary.

I wanted to get it but found out that the Apex WXM module does not support it and I don't want to buy the ReefLink.

So I'm going to buy the Reef Octopus VarioS-8 DC pump which Apex can control.

For that size tank.
Go with 2 mp40 if budget allows you.
If not go with 2 jebao pp-20 or rw-20

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
