Hi everyone,
I have the waterbox frag 85.3 (3' x 2'). I bought 2 mp40s because the glass is 0.5" thick. At 1% on both pumps they are still pushing out 1600GPH each which is pretty turbulent in my tank. I have 0 dead spots so I don't have any particularly good places to put my soft corals who get battered with flow. Temporarily I just have the pumps running in feed mode which is ~800GPH each.

What can I do to reduce the flow of the MP40s, via a physical attachment or get the setting below 1% on the app?

Thanks

Research the nemprotect on the BRS website. They might dampen the flow somewhat.

Taking one out an option? I have two on a 150 in a 50/50 mixed reef and run them at 30% most of the time.

Maybe try different modes or placement. For example place both ph directly across from each other as high in the water without the phs sucking air on the left/right sides and not on the back wall. For mode try lagoon or short pulse. Or, as Bpfor3 mentioned, try removing 1.

I have 2 mp40s as well in my 130.4, 48" long tank. Same problem of too much flow even at 1%. Had to send one back to ecotech as it seems defective to not slow down at 1%. Took out the other one as it is doing the same. I just have 2 nero 3s right now and corals are happier.
