I am looking to switch to a gyre style pump so I have an MP40WQD to sell. I do not think it is Mobius, but I don't know much about Ecotech stuff. I bought this used from a local reefer in December of 2020. He said the manufacture date is April 2015. According to him, he used it until late 2017, and then it sat in storage until I bought it. I called Ecotech to see if they could confirm this date with the serial number, but they said that is not possible.
It is as quiet as any Vortech I've ever used. However, when I bought it there was a small chip in the white covering of the shaft at the very bottom. Since nothing actually moves on this part and it has never given my problems I never replaced it. It will be cleaned up before shipping.
