So I finally took the plunge, and upgraded my rsm 130 to my new deep blue cube. My inspiration for the tank is the reef crest (the top part of the reef, for those who dont know)I want it to be a very high energy, high light kind of tank. Sadly most of my fish and coral did not survive the transfer. But here's the current livestock list.

Fish:
2 bangaii cardinals(used to be 3)
1 red mandrin goby
1 yellow watchman goby
1 lawn mover blenny

Corals

SPS:
1 ORA purple stylophora
1 Garf purple bonsai acro
1 Tyree pink lemonaid acro
1 ORA red planet
1 Reefgardner rose pocilipora
1 green acropora planyla
1 CC hellboy acro
1 ORA screaming birdsnest
1 Reefgardner turqouise fuzzy acro
1 Montipora capricounrous
1 Montipora digitata
1 cali tort

LPS:
1 cornbread fire and ice chalice
1 tyree miami hurricane chalice

Softies:

2 colonies of green bay packers zoa
2 colonies of atomic space monsters
1 colony of radioactive dragon eye zoas

Once it looks like everything is doing well I'll start to add fish and coral.
Ok thats about it, once I break out my camera I'll load up some pics, and I'll put some up of the transfer.

So a little weekend update, the cube is looking good. Now the corals in it are looking kindof ****** ;). It seems as if the whole "completely and totally changing the aquascape" thing might have stressed them out.

But on the bright side the bangaiis have started hanging out under the over hang that I made yesterday so at least some of the livestock is happy about the new scape.

my lfs just gave me $100 in store credit for a zoa colony that I gave them, so I'm probably going to use that for a mystery wrasse and some anthais, and the order from battle corals is coming when the acros start showing better pe and color. So yea stay tuned for a lot of livestock updates.

. But hey it's all part of the hobby, you grow them and then they die, and then you regrow them. At least I haven't lost as many corals as dr.sanjay Joshi, it just goes to how even veterans in the hobby go through what we do. Back to my coral, it looks like everything but those two pieces are going to survive though. So that's great! On a positive side the bangaiis have come out of hiding, am are now exploring the tank with the mandarin and lawnmower Benny.

The watchmen goby and the pistol shrimp are starting to tunnel also so that's pretty awesome. I'm going to go glue down some of the remaining coral but stay tuned.

So to add on to the ever increasing list of problems with the tank, the sump is leaking and the ato is stuck, and wont stop flowing. So, at this point I'm extremely frustrated with the installers. And I'm going to request my money back for their services. Livestock wise, 2 more acros died of pluming related stress along with the pistol an watchmen. I'm going to deal with the problems at hand and I will keep you guys updated when things start turning around. Thanks

So the installers came out today and looked for the leak, it turns out that a couple of snails had gotten stuck in the filter sock and had clogged it thus making the sump over flow. So that's good news, and the noise is because of a faulty pump. So things are looking up!! And even better the diatom bloom is here, so the tank is maturing, and I'm happy to say that the remaining corals have stopped rtnimg.
