MTRC Full Tank Shots

Welcome! your tank is looking good. Good to see another person from Smyrna too. I cant help on the way to take pics. All I use is my phone, and some come out okay, but you really have to invest in a decent camera with good lenses before you can get any real pics.

I bought a good camera but I cant figure out how to use it properly. LOL! I am interested in coming to the meeting Saturday. Do I have to sign up ahead of time or just show up? I noticed you had a poll on who was coming, so just wanted to make sure its not to late to come. I met Jay and talked to him about the club a little and figured it would be a good learning experience for me since im a rookie. I am looking forward to meeting everyone.

Thanks,

Wesley

Thanks. I wish I would have went with white though. I really liked it at first but the white shell debris sticks out like a soar thumb. I went back and forth. But when I went from my 37g to a 65g, I figured since I already had black sand in the 37g it would save me from buying a ton of white so I just bought a couple more bags of black.

You are welcome to come check out the meeting, and if you want to sign up afterwards, that is fine. Hope to see you Sunday.

Typed from my phone, because I have nothing better to do.

Ah man, I'm planning on going black sand with my new tank. So is it just because detritus shows up more with black? Is it a pain to siphon out?

he already signed up for the club, i tink he menat for the meeting....

The sand is not to bad. I never mess with it just over time crabs die and stuff just ends up on the bottom. I guess if you stayed on it you could keep it nice and black.

120 gallon work in progress - Smyrna

This tank will be one year old on Christmas. Slowly but surely is the motto for this tank. This was as of August. 2 corals have been added since. Duncan and green crown leather.

Thanks angry. Now to get the fiance to get out the "big boy camera" and take some real pictures....

Not sure if I'd trust anyone with a camera with that avatar! LOL

We have a Nikon D3100, we just gotta learn how to use it! Maybe one of these days we can get together and check out our setups and have a little Q&A session about cameras.

I know nothing past point and click, so don't ask me. Tanks looking good. I love the 24" depth of those 120's.

Kevan(Toxic) has the same camera I believe. He can definitely help you out on some skills.

bwahahaha. That's one of the best comebacks ever. Just remember that we have to delete them after we see them.
