Mucus on plate coral

My plate coral keeps producing mucus like this. What could be the cause? I feed it 3 times a week could it be over feeding? Or is it disturbance by a clown goby sitting on it? Parameters I have are NO3: 17 ppm; PO4: 0.09 ppm.

To me plates are notoriously finicky. The brighter and more colorful they are the worse it is. I have one that came in on a zoa frag 22 years ago and still have a version of it. When small it is fluorescent green becoming a more dull flesh colored as it ages. Kind of like elegance just depends on variety and location of collection as to hardiness.

It looks like its coming from the mouth so I assume its poop, it makes sense to me the more feed it the more it will poop. I haven't fed mine in years and my clown gobies sit on it all day, and I don't remember mine ever doing that.

Thank you for the comment Mr. Mojo! So I assume it is doing fine then? It is producing mucus in this amount almost everyday. I have to manually remove it so that it doesn’t float all over the tank.

Your coral looks healthy to me
