Hello hello! Greeting from Texas. As you all know we've had bad power for the last week, and this morning when we got another outtage(after everything, I know!) our female clown decided to jump the tank. That leaves us with our smaller male whose hosting in a lovely toadstool mushroom. The question is, can we introduce say, 3 more clowns to the tank to live with this one? If we bought none of em paired, all the same species, and with one obvious big gal?

Welcome to Reef2Reef!!! I'm sorry to hear about your fish. How large is your tank? Normally more than two clowns in a small or medium sized tank can lead to problems.

Welcome to R2R!! To answer your question, sure it’s been done! In almost all cases I’ve seen here on R2R, it turns out badly. Unless you have a very large tank, or a harem tank that is very-specifically designed with clownfish and anemones, the clownfish will typically fight to the death over territory. It may not happen immediately or overnight, but eventually one clown will become alpha (female) and choose her favorite little male, and the rest seem to eventually become threats to her.

Good luck with your tank!

It is a little guy at 24 gallons. Lots of coral and crevices though so we had some hope
