Multiple Plate corals with STN

Little baffled: I have a mixed reef with primarily acros montis and Porites - however I also have a dotting of a couple plate corals and 1 sandal coral. Every month or so I perform an underside check of the plates during a water change.

Recently I noticed some STN building up on the outside of my Sandolitha and 2 of my lithos as well as a fungia.

Parameters, salinity in check at 34ppt, nutrients (Po4 No5) a bit low 0.02 and about 5 for nitrates. I dose ESV B ionic and Kalk in my top off

Something interesting to note is that a couple months ago I lost all of my stylos and birdnests and since have not been able to keep any of them. While acros and montis are growing by the hour. Even more “sensitive” specimens like my Fiji leather and A. Suharsonoi are flourishing. So maybe a selective contamination?

I haven’t fed in a while, good point! I am tempted to do a light dip in melafix or a diluted dip in revive

The parameters might be in line, but that picture shows an unhealthy tank, sorry if I'm being straightforward. I think your corals are being out-competed by algae for elements, I'm glad its not affecting all your corals but I think sooner or later they might have issue's too if the algae is not kept in check.

Youre not wrong at all. I have bubble and some turf algae that are relentless. Maybe they are starving more than I think.

Recently I put in a couple Pithos crabs. I may use some reeflux and manually removing what I can before that. The algae outcompeting them is a very good point
