Hey this may sound far fetch but I found little info on the subject. Within a month or so I will be upgrading to at least a 6 foot 125 gallon tank. possibly a 7 or 8 foot. Anyhow. I currently have one Tomini tang at about 3-4 inches and gets along great with the clowns and chromis as expected. I would love to create a group of 3 or so when I upgrade. any Think this is possible if I get similar sized and add all 3 into new tank at once with adequate places for them to sleep. Upon my upgrade they would probably be my only additions besides maybe a few firefish or fairy wrasses.

I've just been having trouble finding any info regarding subject, what I see points to that they are most mild mannered of tangs and said to only do one but I feel like most "facts" in this hobby it's pretty much assumed.

I understand the genus is different, but if mean yellow tangs can get along why can't Tomini tangs?

I currently have 2 tomini tangs in my tank! They get along great! In a tank that size I’d say it is worth a shot! But the way I would approach it is trying to put them in at the same time or putting the established one in a quarantine box for a short while to let the other acclimate. And sometimes it just doesn’t work out and one will bully the other! So sometimes fish personality’s is luck of the draw. But my tomini tangs get along great!
