Ok so I got a pistol shrimp and goby pair last year. The goby dissapeared. Fastforward to now I decided to get another goby. Got him acclimated then he went straight to the pistol shrimp. He is huge first time I got to see him in a long time. Now I have no idea where he is at. I can hear the pistol shrimp every once in a while but that goby is missing again. Pretty sure he is dead somewhere. Any thoughts people? I will upload video of them together on their first night but gotta do it from my phone.

I don't believe the pistol shrimp would kill him. I'd say he could be hiding or died from stress. How bigs your tank? Could be hard to spot in a big tank

What type of pistol shrimp?
Not all gobies and shrimps are commensal.
Your pistol very well could have killed your goby

I'm sure your tiger pistol not a killer but your goby look darn slim and might died due to malnutrition. There is a pistol shrimp that won't pair with anything is a Japanese Pistol Shrimp but your it's not that species.
