Mushroom not opening and growing fuzz

Hi guys-this is your first ever coral. Had for a week and for four days it would open up and grow a short fuzz, it hasn’t done this for the last 3 days?
what should I do? Am I going to lose it? My clown have just started to fall in-love with it.
any advice would be really a
preciated.

I agree it looks like a leather and the clown could be loving it into irritation. My girl clown just started trying to host one of my leathers. Most leathers will retract if something brushes up against it. You should also check your parameters to make sure there isn’t anything going on with your water.
