Hello.

So part of my tank has become mushroom infested...(lesson learned). So I heard hitting with them with Kalk with do the trick. I was wondering if anyone else has done this and has an advice, such as how long to leave the kalk on the shroom, etc? I did it with some moderate success and want to try again with a better outcome. I know I need to leave all the pumps up when I do it, but not sure for how long to leave the kalkwasser.

I plan on doing a small batch at a time as not to affect PH considerably (tank is 90gl).

Any help would be much appreciated.

I had no luck with that or anything else. Keep at it!

Or maybe just sell off your rock and replace it – plenty of folks out there love mushrooms.

So have heard hitting the mushrooms with kalk paste will work, but what I dont know for how long. I tried leaving the kalk on for 30 minutes and I sucked a few out of the tank. I would say mixed results Not sure if its because they released because of the kalk, the siphon tube grabbing them, etc. I have more I need to remove from my tank to re-gain real estate for new corals. Just wondering if I need to wait longer than 30 minutes, or maybe even 15 minutes does the job.

anyone else try this effort to get your mushrooms out? BTW, removing my rock is not an option as I built negative space aquascape, so these are entirely built rocks structures.
