Mushrooms detaching into the sand

World domination? Mine used to detach to move to greener pastures if the lighting was too intense.

I had several mushrooms near the top of my tank. I increased my white LEDs intensity and they all detached. Did you change light fixtures or intensity?

No, none of the above. They were mostly in a cave, I thought they weren't getting enough light. I just today moved them out a bit.

Most mushrooms, if they are unhappy, will let go and take a ride in search of greener pastures. Mine get over crowded and even lose their heads sometimes!
