My “new concept” 120 stand and custom ottoman

Hello everyone! First off, I am a professional upholsterer and I do make furniture..... This 120 gal stand is my expression of how I wanted to complement the future coral reef display soon to be above. Color for the ship lap gave me a feeling of a skiff moored along side a weathered shanty. All glass was sand blasted and painted on the bottom with the same ocean teal tint which ties in the background nicely. Under cabinet lighting was located in three areas one being under the glass shelf in which shadowing wouldn’t become an issue. The ottoman was made to complement the modern straight lines of the cabinet yet still be relaxed and inviting. All in all I had a great time over the months in building and letting it evolve, I must say this project was very fluid in its creation which was the fun part! no directions no expectations.....
