My 180 in wall build

I'm currently doing a 180 gallon (300ish total) reef build "semi" flushed into the wall. The sump is all custom built by me :) (first one I've done in acrylic ), It will be lighted by 3 echotech radions suplimented with t5's. For flow I have an oceans motions 4 way coupled to a reeflo dart. Also have 2 ecotech mp40qd's The entire system will include a 29 gallon tank flushed into the back of my bar and a small frag tank in a closet. All plumbed in the walls. It has been one heck of a project but I am hoping to have water in the 180 by Xmas and cutting my 29 gallon system (established) into it by January. I'm huge into automation and controllability so it will have a neptune apex and also a mindstream (when released)

Here are a couple progress pics. The massive tank "hood" is now installed. Next will be the 24" linear actuators to open it. Coming along slowly but surely. My goal is to have water in it by mid November. Still a ton of work to do but I am pleased with the progress so far.

Here is the latest. I wasn't happy with the wood grain I initially chose so I changed it:) skinned the previous wood grain with furniture grade plywood and then stained/polyurathaned. I am very happy with the outcome. Definitely worth the extra time and money. I also added flush mounted accent lighting on both sides of the tank. Coming along nicely:)

Here is the completed frag tank that will be hidden in a tiny tiny fish room (closet). Thanks again @TaylorPilot for grade A products and customer service! Progress will be somewhat slow on this build for a little bit due to recent surgery on my lower back.

Glad it all worked out! The frag rack fits the tank great. Not a single bit of it that doesn't have holes for frag plugs. Hope you recover quickly.

I actually felt well enough one week after lower back surgery to knock out a little plumbing on the build.

Here are a few more updates. Installed two of the three pumps and some more plumbing. Also started installing the apex and ecotech radion xr30w pros. Wiring is everywhere as you can see but will be hidden very soon.

Here is another update on the build. Actually for a lot done in the past week on the cosmetics of the room. Flooring is done, baseboards installed, and walls are painted. Plumbing parts arrive today so the next step in this build is to finish all plumbing. Should be ready for h20 very soon!! Starting to get excited!!

Tank up and running! Have had a few mishaps but learning as I power through them. Tank has ich which took the life of a gorgeous powder blue tang:( also have a flatworm infestation that I just treated with flatworm exit. Holding off buying more coral until I get the flatworms gone. Also, quarantining all of my fish and treating for ich. Going to put back in system in 2 months so the filthy parasite will die off in my system. I sure learned the importance of dipping coral and quarantining fish with this mishap. I'm just thankful it happened now and not later with more fish and coral. "Reef fast you crash"

Sorry about the recent trouble, I had similar problems which just made me qt everything better and harder before. I had a flatworm problem before and they were a pain to get rid of
