So I figured it was about time to post a build tread on this guy.

Just a little back story on it i was ready to expand as I have to much coral in my 75 and a pretty heavy bioload. So I let my excitement get the best of me once the wife agreed to a big tank. So the search began for a 200 + tank. Well as I said the excitement got the best of me I found a guy selling what he claimed was
A 220, stand, and hood. So being overexcited and dumb I allowed my self to get ripped off I got the tank home and after a couple of weeks I started to measure it for parts come to find out it was a 180 and not as in good shape as I wanted (currently for sale pm offer). So ticked off I contacted the guy he swore he would make it right but never did. Well I brushed it off and decided to stick with a 180 tank but started the search for a better one. Found a dual over flow with nearly no scratches on CL. So here we go this is the old tank when I brought it home

So I decided to paint the stand a dark brown

p
And take out the wet dry sump and I picked up a 55 from the same guy I bought the new 180 off of here is me water testing both and doing vinegar baths

After the vinegar bath my brother and Sam came over and helped me get it on the stand

So then all the equipment started to pour in

Skimmer = curve 7
Return pump= jaebo 9000
Circulation pump = maxspect gyre 150
Dosing = jaebo dp4
Lights should be here next week and i ordered 3 reef raidiance dm 165p + sync with a free upgrade to 120 degree optics

Ok so yesterday me and brother spent a good part of the day rebuilding the hood because the one that came with the tank was only 6" tall

so I ran out of time and wasn't able to finish painting and hit the top of my frustration with the doors so I will have to finish later probably in like two weeks since I'm working 9 days straight starting today. But in going to start trying to baffle the sump this week

Thanks all. Tomorrow I will be picking up the hard ware to build the dursos, hardware to hang lights, plumbing and some hinges for the stand.

Finally got my lights hung. There will have to be some adjusting on height they are approximately 8" above the brace. And I'm also looking for input on the programming of the lights

I found this chart on a forum and I think I'm gunna start out trying this but with a lower max at first. The only thing is my lights have a third royal blue Chanel and the chart only shows white and blues should I just sync the blues and royal Blues together

I actually created that Excel program sometime last year. If you want I can add a third channel for the RB's.

Looks good so far BTW.

It has been passed around, tweeked, and reposted a lot. Actually the one I last used has quite a few more sheets for different cycle lengths and down to 10 minute steps. I'll see if I can get something together for you.
