Ok so heres my new reef tank. Tank has been up a few months. Some pictures below are part of the journey. Also I will list some of the equipment as well.
Tanks is about a 20 gallon maybe a 23 it looks bigger than a 20. It is home made I think I dont know I bought it used on Facebook. There is no brand tag on it.
Running a AI prime 16 LED - using David Zazby's signature schedule
Hydor return pump Seltz D DC 500 gph
Hygger Mini Powerhead
Ebo Jagger heater I think its 200 watt - I use an Inkbird controller with it
Reef breeders ATO
No skimmer
This is when it was first set up with a cheap light I think an Aquaknight A029. 2 clowns and a small CUC. I was topping off by hand every day that sucked.
I changed the scape a little and added a few corals.
This is what it looks like now added a few more corals tanks is running a bit more stable at this point less diatoms pods are kinda exploding.
A shot of my DIY screen lid made out of window screen frame and some plastic chicken wire
Another pic below from a distance.
I am such a noob and have been learning something literally every day. But it has been super fun. Ill try to document more when I make some more additions and also the growth that I hope will be happening lol.
This tank is only temporary for me because as soon as I did this salt water tank I fell in love instantly. I have an Innovative Marine 40 long EXT tank in my garage that I need to start working on this summer. So when I start that project I will keep you guys posted.
