Picked up a 29 biocube about a month ago. Came with Led's which i upgraded to a Current USA Metal Halide. also added a small circulation pump. I bought this and immediately moved over my livestock from my 90 gallon and am slowly parting out my 90 gallon tank.
I backed off the light cycle a little for the first few weeks as the previous owner had been on vacation and without the extra circ pump had some algae issues. once i put my CUC in there, i've almost got the algae down to where i'd like it. i can't get the skimmer it came with to work properly (maybe i'm just bad at tuning them in). will most likely be upgrading or just switch to a HOB skimmer i have laying around. Here's the livestock -

skunk cleaner
firefish
small white mushrooms
large orange with green specs muhrooms

Blue/green Chromis
Lawnmower Blenny named "ping pong" (round belly after chomping algae)
Kenya Trees
Purple Mushroom
Clean up Crew - 30ish snails, 10 hermits, emerald crab

Things i would like for my tank would be more contrasting color corals, a bluer spectrum bulb for my MH fixture, and a little better control of the algae. Any suggestions or recomendations would appreciated.
