Update:

So I have decided I’m definitely building my own stand which will put this build on hold for a month or so. I ordered lights in the mean time. I purchased an Arctic t247 that should be here before the new year. I also bought metal brackets to mount on my stand from bulk reef supply. I think I will start to cycle my rock in the beginning of January. In the mean time I removed the trim from 1 of my 40g breeders and also resealed it. I got glass cut to make a Euro Brace and to make my sump so I have something to mess around with lol. For anyone who is following what would you recommend for test kits for starting a tank. My stocking plan will probably be clowns and a clean up crew and then eventually easy corals.

So far I have finished siliconing the display tank and I added the Euro Brace as well as drilled the holes for the Synergy Overflow and the returns. I also finished my sump all that’s left to do is build the stand and then plumb the tank. The only issue with my sump is the first two baffles are the same height. I wish I would have made the second baffle shorter to force the water to fall down over the first baffle. I wanted to use black baffles in the second section of the sump to stop the refugium light from growing algae anywhere else but I forgot and just got glass. Does anyone know something I could use to cover the glass and stop light from lightning the rest of my refugium?

Happy Reefing!
