Still going to mess with leveling it out front to back and side to side.

I Leveled the tank and stand out today one last time. I installed the bottom of the cabinet and setup the piping and sump. I installed a modified connector to link the loc line and nozzles for the return line.

My next step will be to install the doors with magnetic locks (keep my 1.5 year old out). I will also finish the cabling and controller boards. I Need to lay everything out on the second board and plan out the space, mount and drill holes to feed cables.

last I will setup the Apex stuff which I feel will be the most time consuming along with plumbing the return pump and flow monitors.

I would consider, while its empty changing out to a better gate valve. just a thought so glad I did that to mine.

I’ve seen tons of discussions recommending that! Is there a break down of what is needed and parts? I’m not the greatest at plumbing, so I need parts lists and a how-to. It scares me hacking into pipes on a system that I paid a fortune for without a good idea of what is needed and his to do it?

Yesterday, I installed the cabinet doors and started to route cabling. I installed my new power strip and a American DJ 8 outlet power strip to isolate and control individual components . I will be running my (4) Radions off of the power strip, I also purchased a 2 outlet to 1 outlet cord to control my two power cords from my T5 hybrid. I’m using a Amazon smart plug and programmed it to energize daily for a set period to cycle the T5’s on and off. Overall I’m happy with it so far.

Im still waiting on my final pieces for my second controller board that I’m making for the power bricks and controllers on my icecap gyres and MP40. It Should be here today hopefully.

I hooked up my apex par meter to the ASM module and played with different light levels today with the

I’m still waiting to complete my last controller board. Hoping the parts come in tomorrow to finish up routing cables and connect the remaining gear.

I still need to plan the return pump plumbing and assess replacing the stock gate valve on the return that many people are suggesting (Redsea owners).

Devaji, I searched the threads and could not locate the specific thread you mentioned about the Redsea plumbing mods. Is there anyway you can post the link?

I finished my second controller board and created a mount for my DOS pumps. Everything is tucked away and super clean in front and behind the panels. I’m very happy with it.

next step for me is to setup the piping for my return pump (COR-20), and alter the plumbing for the gate valve. I’m waiting on parts to arrive for that. I Can’t wait to start putting in my aquascape and Filling it up! I’m getting closer.

I am Working on my rock work using various liferock from Carib sea that I purchased from BRS. I’m using E-Marco-400 pink to bond and create structures. I have to say it works great and is extremely strong. I’m using acrylic rods and a drill bit to create stability and help hold pieces in place. I’m sure I’ll move my rocks around a million times between now and when I fill up my tank!

I installed my Aquatic Life T5HO hybrid with (4) Radion blue Gen 5’s. I selected Geisemann power chrome super Acitinic and Acitinic blue bulbs to start out. The hanging kit was a AI hanging kit which seems to work well and was easy to install.

I have some Diffusers for the G5’s I will put on to check out the comparison.

picture is obviously very blue. I’ll take a picture in a bit with the lights off to show a better picture of the setup. I will be using a par meter eventually to adjust the Radions on the rails to get the most uniform coverage.
How did you anchor the lights in the ceiling? Is it attached to a stud? Did you use bolt anchors?

I used the AI hydra hanging kit. I drilled it into the drywall and used the anchor option. I modified the Aquatic life harness, removed the loops and slid the AI portion into the guides. It was very easy. I can take additional pictures if you’d like. This is the kit I used.

A little update... I made my rock formations and set them up inside the tank. I altered the plumbing and installed my COR-20 which is plumbed in along with my flow meter. I’m modifying the return pipe and will be replacing the gate valve. I’m waiting on PVC and pipe segment pieces from BRS which come tomorrow. Mock fitting and planning x 1000!

I replaced my RO trash cans with 55 gallon plastic drums. I’ll use the cans on wheels for mixing water, waste water and moving it around. I’ve filled one drum already and I’m making more right now in hopes of filling the tank this weekend and performing a leak test on my tank and fittings. Here are a few pics of everything thus far.

Did you change the overflow box? Looks like a cool external overflow now.
I used an adapter that was 3D printed by a member of a local reef store. It allows connection to lok-line and I added some upgraded flow ends. It Should help with directing flow and angling if needed.
