I wanted to put LEDs in my BioCube without damaging its nice hood. I was looking for a light that was already made and wired to use inside. So for my DIY project, I took the power compact bulbs out of my 8 gallon Oceanic BioCube and modified an 8 watt Innovative Marine Skkye Light LED into it.

I used the black 14,000k version. I unscrewed everything, cut the power compact wires out, saved the night lights, carefully cut up the skkye light, tied a few wires back together, drilled a pilot hole, and screwed it into an existing hole, before putting the plastic cover back on. Seems to be working fine.
